The Collaboration: EXPLANATION AND GUIDE

Dark December, The Other Side of the Stage, Rising Above, South Beach and Rafe's Journal are written by two different authors.

However, the worlds, characters, events and story lines intersect, overlap, collide and impact each other. Our chapters build on each other's work. Because this is complex and can be confusing, we built a Table of Contents which shows the order we wrote the chapters, and the order in which they should be read. Chapter 25 ~ Flight Path

Somewhere over the Atlantic Ocean

The flight had been unusually quiet. The occasional sound of guitars playing or the muffled whispers of Shaun and Stevie as they huddled next to each other were offset by the steady and agitated pacing of Danny who finally flopped into a seat after several drinks and slept fitfully.

Even Heydon had been uncommonly withdrawn. It didn't surprise Cooper that Tyler had been quiet; remembering his own first big tour, he imagined what was going through the young guitarist's head. In fact the only one who seemed to be in bright spirits aside from Shaun and Stevie was Aidan.

London, England ~ Royal Garden Hotel Entrance

After the long 9 hour flight their private jet landed in Heathrow and its occupants shuttled to their hotel. Cooper stood outside the entrance and stretched inhaling deeply. It was hazy and humid in the early morning hour and a slight breeze ruffled his hair. Mentally counting back the hours he was anxious to call Beth the minute he made it to his room.

Slim would be arriving in a few days' time with Stevie's backup as well as Rafe. Still unsure of whether or not this whole thing with Rafe was a good idea, Cooper put it out of his mind for now, picked up his cell and dialed. "Hey baby," his rough voice was laced with fatigue although Cooper felt wired physically, "how's my girls?"

Hotel Lobby ~ King George Bar

Daniel sat at the bar nursing the same cocktail that had been placed in front of him 30 minutes earlier. "So much for cutting back," he muttered to himself as he finally downed the drink in one gulp. Settling into the seat next to him was Aidan who gestured to the bartender for two more as he regarded Danny.

"What are you doing down here Aidan? I figured you be sleeping by now," Danny stared straight ahead as he spoke. Taking a breath Aidan answered frankly, "I'm a little concerned Danny; you're wound up pretty tight. I thought if you needed to talk…well, I'm willing to listen."

The truth was Daniel occasionally resented the closeness that the other band members shared. Their bond had been forged long before he joined and despite the friendship that had developed, he felt disconnected at times. "Can't sleep, that's all, no big deal," he muttered.

Aidan turned on his stool and studied the crowd that had begun to thin. "It's going to be a long six months Danny," he began as he continued to watch the patrons, "If something is eating at you, the offer stands."

Finishing his drink, Aidan stood and noticed a pretty blonde who had caught Daniel's eye and was flirting with him. Aidan smiled slightly and turning his head toward Danny, urged, "Don't stay up too late, man; we've got a sound check at the arena tomorrow."

Royal Garden Hotel, late morning

When Cooper finally climbed out of bed, it was early afternoon. Pulling the drapes open he looked out at dark skies and a downpour that threatened to last well into the evening. He met up with Heydon in the lobby and after a quick bite to eat, Cooper and Heydon headed over to the arena.

O2 Arena

The last time they had played in the UK, the arena had been different. Now a state of the art center that showcased only the hottest rock bands, the O2 had jumped at the chance to kick off Mercury Rising's latest world tour. After making small talk with the management there as well as security, Cooper and Heydon strolled across the stage. Tour sponsors had already put up their logos as vendors busily stocked their shelves with souvenirs.

"Did you ever think we'd get quite this big Coop?" Heydon asked as he stood alongside his friend and band mate. Smiling, Cooper responded, "Yeah I did, but it still catches me off balance sometimes. It was a lot of hard work, blood, sweat, and tears, but it was worth it." Cooper's expression was melancholy as his thoughts drifted back to the early days while Heydon plucked absently at one of the guitars that had been set on stage.

"A penny for your thoughts?" a warm female voice questioned from behind Cooper. Turning, he faced the source of it, "Selene Coyle," Cooper was surprised, "since when does Gibson send you on an international meet and greet?"

Selene's smile was always enigmatic and she laughed as she responded, "Since I was promoted to marketing worldwide. Weatherstone wanted to remain domestic after his wife gave birth to twins. You can't blame him really. As for me…well the timing was fortuitous with your first world tour in a long time. I'm looking forward to working with you and the bands."

Cooper gestured toward Heydon as he guided Selene over to introduce them. "A pleasure to meet you Heydon," she said shaking hands as their eyes locked briefly.

Turning once more toward Coop she asked, "Is the rest of the band here? I've heard some good things about your opening act. You will be bringing them to the reception I hope."

"We'll be there…looking forward to it actually," he responded.

Satisfied, she smiled once more, "Wonderful; I have some interesting business propositions to discuss. Perhaps we'll have a moment to chat." Selene paused briefly, "Well I should be off. I'll see you at the show." Turning once more to Heydon, she said, "Again, it was a pleasure."

Watching her walk away, Heydon stood next to Coop and commented dryly, "She's quite a package." Shaking his head, Cooper remarked, "She's ambitious, I'll give her that. Good at what she does or she would never have gotten this gig."

Picking up his guitar, distracted and anxious, Cooper stated, "Let's do a sound check on these acoustics."

O2 Arena Early Evening

Several hours and several equipment disasters later, Cooper paced edgily as the stage crew rectified problems with the amps, the lights and Danny's kit. Livid over the fact that his second base drum had been damaged during setup, Danny had thrown a fit. His timing had been off as a result and the rehearsal had gone downhill from there.

Storming off the stage, Danny headed toward the makeshift bar to cool off followed shortly after by Heydon. "What's the big deal Danny? Just get another bass drum!" Heydon persisted. Turning on him, Daniel shot back, "That's a custom drum Heydon; where in the hell do you think I'm going to get one quickly?"

Toe to toe the two men silently scowled at each other. Their anger had nothing to do with the rehearsal or the drum. "You don't always get what you want Daniel. Maybe you'll need to settle for something else," Heydon hissed.

Danny's eyes narrowed as he stepped closer, "I don't settle for something I don't really want." "What's that supposed to mean?" Heydon snarled.

Not batting an eye Danny fired back, "You know exactly what I mean. She settled because she was pissed off at me. You were second choice." Heydon's jaw worked furiously, "You're out of your fucking mind if you believe that. Get out of my face Daniel." Not moving Danny challenged, "Or what?" Furious, Heydon spat, "Step back or I'll make you."

Stepping between them quickly Cooper berated both men, "Do I need to hire a damned baby sitter for you two?" Looking intently at Heydon he ordered, "Go on Danny, get out of here man. Go cool off."

Sucking in a breath he hurled one last look at Heydon and thundered toward the exit. A glance toward Aidan from Coop had him following the enraged drummer out. Turning back toward Heydon, Coop sighed, "We don't need this shit man. Pull yourself together."

Heydon followed Danny and Aidan out still angry as Cooper pulled him back hard. Straightening himself Heydon looked wearily back, "Damn it, I saw them together Coop, at Peri's art studio the day before we left." Rubbing his neck Cooper asked the question he didn't want to consider, "You think something happened between them?"

Sinking to the floor, dejected and spent, Heydon replied, "No, she sent him away. I'm tired Coop; tired of him playing the wounded animal, tired of her throwing it in my face. But she gives him an opening and he makes a move on her. He just won't let go!"

"Peri loves you Heydon. All these years, she's been there by your side. That's not going to change," Cooper's voice was reassuring.

Rising he smiled weakly, "Yeah…don't worry about it Coop. I'll make it right with Danny. I brought it on, I'll fix it." Miserable, Heydon walked away. How could he admit that deep down, he thought Danny was right?

Bay View ~ Taylor Residence

Still uneasy and trying to hide his apprehension Rafe exited the house while his family waited near the limo. Stopping in front of Timmy Rafe spoke in a low, quiet voice, "I'm counting on you to keep an eye on things while I'm gone. If my cousin Gabe shows up here for any reason or" Rafe hesitated, "anyone suspicious, call Marc…or Tony immediately. I left all the numbers in the kitchen drawer."

Collecting his baby daughter in his arms he murmured to her as she reached tiny fingers out to grip his leather jacket. Randi gurgled and cooed melting Rafe's heart all over again. Kissing her lightly, Rafe placed her in the stroller.

"All right little man, no bugs in the house while I'm gone; in fact nothing that crawls, slithers, or hops." Wrapping small arms around his father, Nic protested slightly, "Aw Dad." "Be good for your mom, Nic," Rafe embraced his son tightly. "You'll bring home something cool right Dad?" Nic asked.

Pulling his wife close Rafe inhaled and hesitated just a moment before kissing her deeply. "I love you baby; I'm going to call as often as I can. If you need anything…" Rafe paused. She smiled reassuringly, not wanting Rafe to worry, "We'll be fine, I promise. I love you Rafe."

He had already gotten his wife's assurance that she would call Beth if she felt unsafe for any reason. As he walked to the limo, Rafe was confident he could count on Beth and her bodyguard to watch out for his family.

Millwood ~ Parsons Residence

"Are you sure I can't fix you some breakfast before I go Daddy?" Adam Parsons continued reading his newspaper without responding to Anya. He was not happy with her decision to pursue a career as a musician and was particularly dismayed at the prospect of her touring with a bunch of rock musicians as a substitute no less.

Anya sat in silence as she picked at her omlette. Unable to bear the silent treatment anymore she sighed, "Is this really the way you want to leave things Daddy? The car is going to be here soon and I'll be gone for a long time." Folding the paper, Adam shut his eyes and tried to reign in his emotions before responding, "Anya, this is not what your mother would have wanted for you, traveling with amoral rock musicians."

Laughing, Anya took the last bite from her fork. "You find my concern for my only daughter amusing?" he questioned her. "Mother would chastise you for stereotyping people. These are decent, talented musicians and the chance of a lifetime for me," Anya chided.

Their conversation having been interrupted by the shrill ringing of the phone, Anya rose from the table and collected her plate as she went to answer it. "Mother would be proud of me for pursuing my dream Daddy." Watching as she walked away, Adam knew his daughter was right.

Following her to the kitchen he listened silently as she repeated the instructions she had been given over the phone. He honestly didn't know how he would manage without her for the next several months. She had been his lifeline when his beloved Zenaida had died at such a young age.

Anya could not contain her excitement as she spoke with Slim on the phone, "Yes, I'm all set. My bags are packed; my kit was picked up yesterday. I'm ready to go. Did I mention how grateful I am for the opportunity?"

South Beach ~ Coastside International Airport

The trio boarded the private jet and settled into their seats to await take-off. Anya fidgeted in her seat and Slim recognized at once that it was not the typical reflexes of a drummer who can't stop moving. "Are you nervous Anya?" he asked. "I guess I am a little; I've never been on a long flight before, especially over an ocean. It's a little disconcerting I guess," she admitted.

Slim offered a reassuring smile in an effort to put her at ease. It was going to be a long flight indeed if Anya lost it. "Don't worry; there is plenty to keep you occupied on the flight. We'll be there before you know it."

Anya settled back into the thick, comfortable leather seat and watched the two men in idle conversation, not really paying much attention to what they were talking about. She could think of worse things than traveling across an ocean for hours with two good looking men.

London ~ Royal Garden Hotel, Stanfield Suite

Cooper paced back and forth in his suite. Scowling, today had been disastrous, he stared out at the black clouds that had relentlessly poured rain onto the balcony. Somehow he found comfort in the heavy rainstorm. Turning, he went to the computer in his hotel room, connected the video device and logged on, hoping he hadn't missed Beth.

"Hey baby," Cooper smiled warmly as he saw the images of Beth and Rayne on his computer screen. The tension already began to melt as his shoulders eased. "You're not at the beach house? What happened?" "Our flight was canceled due to the storms. We're going to try again as soon as it lets up but I'm more interested in how you are? Is everything all right? You look tense."

She always could read him; he never bothered to try and hide his feelings. "I'm fine now that I'm talking to my girls. I'm glad Rainie is still awake." Laughing Beth answered, "I haven't been able to get her settled. She is so wound up and she misses her daddy."

"Da!" Rayne reached out to the screen and smiled. "Do you need Daddy to sing you a lullaby?" Cooper began to sing, his rough voice softened somewhat by the gentle melody.

"Tiny fingers weave their way into my heart, your smile lights up the night. Golden eyes so warm and bright don't want to say goodbye. Storm clouds gather up above like pillows in the sky. Rest my head as rain pours down, raindrops in my heart."

Rayne began to lay her head on Beth's shoulder comforted by the familiar sound of Cooper's voice. "I think that did the trick," Beth softly spoke. "I'm going to put her down," she whispered, "then you tell me everything."

First I have to stop crying over the lullaby which just about broke my heart.

You know you've done it again. I've never seen anything like this. Because there isn't anything like this. The use of the plane is absolute genius. Every set is perfect. That hotel looks exactly like a 5 star gem in downtown London. The stage -- and they way you include Tyler, Shaun and Stevie (who look a little lost). The bar. Everything, every room and every detail just blow me away, and you know how I am about details!

I'm fascinated with Selene and her reaction to Heydon. And Cooper. Gibson's rep -- she has to be good, and she's beautiful.

Anya, Stevie's backup...another beautiful, different, and intriguing character. I loved the interaction with her father (the "amoral" musicians...well he might not be entirely wrong LOL although amoral is a bit strong). And no, sitting through a transatlantic flight across from Rafe and Slim would not be what I would consider hard duty!

I knew Danny and Heydon were going to start in on it. And it might be a good thing. If Heydon recognizes there's a problem, that makes it all the worse.

Poor Aidan keeps getting put in the middle! First Coop sends him out to guard his girlfriend before he hired Ryan, and now he's sort of the Dr. Phil of the group. I hope he's up to it.

Rafe and his family: nothing that slithers or hops -- love that! And it's a good thing he left his brother's and his father's phone numbers for Timmy. Either of them would get in Gabe's way in a second. Or, Gayl could always call on the big guns -- Ryan. Perfect to include that!

The shots on the computer are technically astounding. I have to learn how you do that! Remarkable impact! I feel really bad for Cooper who seems very, very tightly wound himself. Surrounded by drama on all sides, and alone, and he doesn't look at all happy.

Dramatic, tense, perfect, and astonishingly creative. You always find some way to break every normal concept and come up with something completely unique. Fantastic update!

thewynd September 14, 2008 at 10:04 PM

Thank you so much Beth. I wasn't sure this was ever going to be finished. I loved that plane set a lot but I confess it was very very difficult to work with. Very unusually built.

And I can't take credit for building either the plane or the hotel but I did add details to make them work.

As Storm Warning's first world tour and Tyler's first tour period, they were a bit star struck with the activity and tempers flaring. I tried (and I have you as well as many others that I credit for this) to capture the details that I knew should be there. I built an entire sound engineering booth that you can't even see in most of the shots. The plane even had a flight attendant! hehe

Selene is a strong and beautiful woman who tends to get what she wants most of the time. She will play an important part in someone's life and that's all I can say about that. As will Anya, Stevie's backup.

I don't know who I feel worse for, Danny or Heydon. Aidan is probably the least changed by fame. He has always been fairly steady and unaffected. He has a quiet strength that they each rely on.

Rafe...and Nic with things that crawl or fly...hehe. And yes, the big guns...thank you for that!

I'm not a huge fan of overdoing Photoshop but I like the small touches that make things a bit more real. I will definitely pass on how I did that offline and hopefully in a way that makes sense. It's not hard but it is tricky and takes a lot of tweaking and manipulating.

I couldn't have done this without your help and support.

Thank you...for everything.

Gah! I wrote a book too!

Mao September 15, 2008 at 5:31 AM

It was so sweet that Cooper was talking to Beth and Raine over the computer! Ahh, the wonders of modern technology.

And whoa, Heydon and Danny are getting dangerous. I had nearly forgotten they were in the same band! I don't know why/how. Yikes. Poor Cooper is going to be doing a lot of mediating...

Selene is interesting, but I don't like how she's eyeing those married men!

Man, pretty much ALL the guys are across the pond now. Whatever will the womenfolk do? Well, that does leave maybe on or two left behind. Oh dear. Surrounded by lonely women! This should be interesting.

Poor Aidan. He just can't seem to get out of the blast zone.

KDSGS September 15, 2008 at 11:11 AM

Stunning update. The shots took you right there, the jet, the hotel. Amazing. Every detail in your shots...I am breathless.
The stage, I cannot say enough. Guess I am missing out not having University, LOL! Where did you get the plane, or is it part of an EP?

Now to the story, you brought across the inner tension of the group. I have a feeling this world tour is in for some fireworks!

Someone is going to stray on this tour, I wonder if it will be Heydon? Selene gave him an extra parting look! LOL!

Oh, can I say Tyler's body language on the plane was wonderful! You just know he is stewing in his juices over Gabe! LOL! Or at least that is what I thought.
Rafe's good-bye was heart warming without being too sticky, good emotional tone there.

And Cooper on the computer (great work there) and the song. *sigh* Wish he would sing me to sleep...
fascinating men all around, and love the tedium you showed of sound checks and the business side. It ain't all glory, rock and roll.
I hope they are out on tour for quite sometime to come!
I read somewhere a rock star insisted on having bowls of only brown M and M's around, some poor assistant had to sit and pick the others out! LOL! Can't see Cooper making that kind of snotty request!
Cheers gayl, you have outdone yourself here.

S@n September 15, 2008 at 11:14 AM

Aww that last part was so beautiful!! It almost brought me to tears too! Awww I can't get over it, he is such a wonderful loving father! I bet it is so hard to be away from his girls and they will be away for six months :(

I LOVED every sigle detail in your pictures, the airplane pictures were incredible! The sets inside the plane were WOW!! And then the hotel shots, Beautiful place! the stage and everything else, were perfectly crafted, it must have taken you hours and hours to build those sets, you did an awesome job!!!

I have to agree with Beth, I am also fascinated with Selene! Heydon, please don't fall for her, she is beautiful and very intelligent from what I read, but please Heydon, don't forget you have a wife waiting at home! She might be act as a little girl sometimes, but she does love you!!!

Rafe and his family was very touching! :( 6 months, and babies grow up so fast, when he comes back his baby girl will be bigger, probably talking a word or two, and what if she doesn't recognize him :( oh my heart breaks for him and his family :( so difficult to be away from the ones you love!

Wonderful update, beautiful writing as always and I love all the sets and backgrounds! Great job!!!

cheripye September 15, 2008 at 6:06 PM

I am in absolute awe of your screens, the lighting the clarity, everything!

And the descriptions you use, (i.e. muffled whispers, faint guitars) really add to the atmosphere. Making you feel like your standing right there.

Sorry I am commenting as I read, this way I dont forget anything, LOL.

I love the sweetness between Cooper and Beth, especially over the phone.

Great interaction between Aiden and Danny... And Aiden is a very nice looking sim guy... I love his long hair. And the resentment pouring off of Danny, even visible in the shots.

And the scenes between Heydon and Coop, you can tell there is alot of love there. A deep rooted friendship. Then all the band, and Daniels fit... Great capture of emotions. I especially like the torment, and tension between Heydon and Danny...

and absolutely LOVE, the line... "You don't always get what you want Daniel. Maybe you'll need to settle for something else," But darn silly man, how dare he throw up Heydons relationship, out of his own jealousy. And yet so emotionally charged, I think Heydon is truly conflicted...

Oh the shot of Rafe holding Randi breaks my heart... It is just so sweet, tender and loving. He really is a devoted husband and father isnt he. And No Bugs in the house, LOL!!!

Anya is absolutely beautiful, and seems so sweet... Although I think her father is being a little over protective. And I think I could think of alot more worse things than sitting across from Rafe and Slim... LOL!

And that sweet, sensitive scene between Beth, Cooper and Raine... The lullaby. Thank goodness for technology. It melted my heart, I swear I was thinking Awwww, all the way through and beautiful lyrics.

Once again fabulous update!!!! Sorry it took me so long to get here and comment. I cant wait to see what you and Beth do next...

Anonymous September 16, 2008 at 10:26 AM

Man is there just too much testosterone in one place at one time. I have the feeling not everyone is going to manage to behave themselves.

I'm not so sure Anya really does know what she is getting herself into...

thewynd September 16, 2008 at 6:18 PM

Thank you Mao! Yes a lot of testosterone across the pond. It will be interesting to see what goes down. I guess I really didn't leave any menfolk back at home did I? Well there is Ryan...he is plenty of man...

The hardest part of the tour is coming up since I need to get some tricky concert shots. That should be fun...

Karen! I love exploring the "backstage" side of touring. My only experience is the Shoreline Amphitheatre but I think it comes pretty close to most rock concerts. The great M&Ms controversy had to do with Van Halen's contract to NOT have any brown M&Ms served. It was quite a stir and nothing to do with whim or ego but a ploy to confirm their contract was being thoroughly read and followed since they had way more equipment than most bands and needed to know that their specs were being followed. So the M&Ms thing was a sort of check and balance type thing. (I'm always good for a little rock trivia now and then). You won't catch Coop in an uproar over M&Ms though.

The plane was a download from MTS2. I could NEVER have built that although I did throw in some extras which wasn't easy. There are a lot of hidden things in it.

Cherie, thank you for those kind words! I am so glad that the mood came across. Coop and Heydon are probably the closest of the band members. Aidan is reserved whereas Heydon and Coop were rather wild in their youth. And of course Slim and Coop were always raising hell.

Rafe really loves his kids. He is a great father to them and they adore him. No way will Randi forget him. Heydon is very conflicted with his feelings. He has had enough of the games.

Sandy, I am really glad you enjoyed this chapter. Selene is going to be a very interesting character. She is a determined, focused woman. Cooper is thoroughly enjoying fatherhood with Rainie. I think if he could have scooped them up and stowed them away easily he would have. His family is most important to him. It is definitely going to be a fascinating tour! The airplane was a gem of a find but I will confess the only lots I spent hours upon hours on was the stage. I know you can't tell by what you saw but there are details there that you didn't even see.

Goodbye_Sun I am certain that there will be some misbehaving on this tour. And yes, the testosterone is overwhelming. Poor Anya? I don't know...I have a feeling she can handle herself but we'll have to wait and see. I don't really know her yet.

Anonymous September 16, 2008 at 11:29 PM

Not far into new territory and the tension is already running high between Heydon and Daniel. I totally understand where Heydon is coming from though.

Cooper seems to be taking the separation hard.

And Rafe leaving too ... I hope nothing happens to their partners!

Emily September 19, 2008 at 5:31 PM

The shots in this one were beautiful Gayl! But then again, they always are :)
The airplane and hotel were just gorgeous, not to mention that stage! And things are heating up already on tour, oh my. Heydon has a right to be angry though, but poor Cooper having to be stuck in the middle.

The computer was just genious. The shots were so touching along with the tender words that went with them.

Really beautiful chapter, well done!

thewynd September 20, 2008 at 2:34 PM

Thank you 7th muse, yes Heydon is really taking things very hard. He has such conflicted feelings right now that I think he is as messed up as Daniel.

Emily, thank you for the compliments on the shots and sets. They were difficult but came out pretty well in the end. Poor Cooper won't be in the middle too much longer. Once Slim gets there, that will be his job LOL!

It is going to be as difficult for Cooper and Rafe to be away from their families as it is for their loved ones. Thankfully when the bands return stateside, there will be opportunity for reunions. And Beth can always grab the private jet and fly over the Atlantic to be with her man. Of course, she would need to bring the red dragon along...

chloe September 22, 2008 at 2:23 PM

i'm so so sorry for being mia, i still love your work gayl, you know i do!

I love the plane! did you download it? it's spectacular!

The shots of danny and heydon were incredible, i can still feel him seething. I'm really worried about Heydon, his wife like that, the other guy in his face and that new girl... hmm. Please don't let him fall!

I love it when Coop is with his family. I can almost feel his heartache. YOu've written him out so well that I can feel for him so much. I hope he'll keep an eye out for Heydon too, there was something in that drawl about that new lady. Cooper's been there so I hope he has Heydon's back. Poor guy, he's so stressed, cooper is in desperate need of his family. How's Slim and B?

Rafe and Gayl, ever the sweet couple! I love how he dotes on his children, including Timmy.

The settings were crazee in this post! The hotel, the stage... I LOVE the stage! it looked so good! I can't wait for the next update where we get to see the arena.

great job Gayl! ever amazing! I can't wait to see your next updates, especially Rising above :). I showed a friend the avatar you did of me over an online conversation and he said that that was how he last remembered me to look like! so good job :D. I can't wait to see the drama between Lorrah and Jett. Jett's such such such a heartthrob, but he needs to keep his pants zipped up a little more and a dash of tact wouldn't be too bad lol.<33s loves!

Colliegirl October 19, 2008 at 7:03 PM

I know... I missed this one. I'm reading it right now! I shall make a longer comment when I finish! Just wanted to let you know that I caught it... well, actually a nice little birdie told me! LOL! :D

Colliegirl October 19, 2008 at 8:02 PM

I finished reading! And it was great!!!

The details of the airplane were very well done. The seats looked so plush and comfy. Now, that's what I call traveling in style! Does each seat have a little tv screen on the back of it? Amazing!

Anya's very lovely and sweet. I like her a lot already. I hope she fits in perfectly with the group. They could use another female, I think, to keep things interesting. Stuck with two handsome guys on a plane? Now, that sounds like the perfect job to me! It definitely has its perks! LOL! :D

I thought Heydon and Daniel were going to get into an all out fist-fight. It sure looked like one of them would have exploded if Coop hadn't intervened. And now, in the back of Heydon's mind, he's feeling like he's second best... the second choice... that's got to be really hurtful to a guy's pride.

That was a sweet good-bye between Rafe and his little family. I'm glad that he left his father and brother's phone number with them, in case there's any trouble while he's away. You never know... Those kids have sure grown fast! Time flies so fast in the Sim's world! LOL!

That was amazing how you did the shots on the computer. It was amazing! And so cool! It looked very believable, like they were actually talking to each other! Great work on that! And the lullaby... Coop singing to his little girl... that was really sweet! I really liked the lyrics.

It's my bedtime now, and I'm getting very sleepy. So I shall say goodnight now. I look forward to hearing from you again with another update for this story! Rock on!!! :D
